Sun flower field in IndiaI am back home & am enjoying the good food & weather. We went on a short trip to Pondicherry to celebrate the Holidays. Sharing some pics with you.
Entrance to Pondicherry (Pondi). Pondi is 300km drive from Bangalore. It took us 6 hours with multiple small breaks in between.
The roads are really good & you will pass many beautiful villages in Tamilnadu. I enjoyed the tranquil scenery & beautiful weather.
This is a pic of Gingee Fort which is close to Pondi. This impregnable fort was called Troy of the East by the British. The history of this fort dates back to 9th century AD.
Motor boat ride from the back waters to a beautiful beach. 
We have rented bikes (cycles) for the entire day to travel within the city. This pic is outside a beautiful cathedral at 2.30am after a great lunch at a place called Rendezvous, followed by relaxing at the beach for a couple of hours enjoying the sound of the waves. While you are on Promenade in Pondi don't miss the cakes and coffee at La Cafe - 24 hour coffee house on the beach. 
Lovely trip. Cant wait to go there again with the same set of friends. Good company makes any trip beautiful - thank you Madhu, Josh & Rahul. Bk & I loved your company.
